$ 0 0 Profile TabsProfileIryna DemkoPostdoctoral ResearcherProfessional InformationBiography: Iryna Demko is a Post-Doctoral Researcher in Agribusiness within the Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics at The Ohio State University. She is also a team member with the Farm Income Enhancement Program supervised by Professor Ani Katchova.Iryna holds a Ph.D. degree in Agricultural, Environmental and Resource Economics from Penn State University. She has also received a Master's Degrees in Economics with concentration in Financial Economics from Kyiv School of Economics and from the University of Houston (joint program). Her research agenda focuses on food marketing and agricultural policy analysis. Iryna has worked with data on U.S. organic trade provided through the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service's Global Agricultural Trade System (GATS) to analyze the impacts of U.S. organic equivalency arrangements. She has experience working with the Homescan scanner data to answer consumer-related questions.In her current research she intends to utilize U.S. Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Resource Management Survey (USDA-ARMS) data and the 2015 Local Food Marketing Practices Survey to analyze factors shaping farmers' decision to try and continue marketing their products directly to consumers. She is also interested in exploring the difference in financial performance of farms operated by land owners and land tenants using the 2014 Tenure, Ownership, and Transition of Agricultural Land (TOTAL) survey.Documents: CV_Iryna_Demko.pdf
